Collegiate Insurance Resources (CIR) is a major health insurance provider whose primary target market is Affinity Groups. CIR relies on a business strategy of growth by acquisition, and the insurer sought to derive more value from its acquisitions through improved integration.

Project

SageRiver utilized the results of an internal and external environmental scan to facilitate strategy sessions with CIR's leadership team. During the sessions, SageRiver focused on helping the leaders to define their vision, mission and values and identify their strategic initiatives.

Results

This initiative improved integration of acquired business units, helping CIR to leverage economies of scale and update their use of technology by establishing a robust online customer interface.
