Cultural Assessment and Change Management
Collegiate Insurance Resources (CIR) is a major health insurance provider that achieves growth primarily through acquisitions. The company purchased two insurance companies and retained SageRiver Consulting to assist in merging three distinct organizational cultures.
SageRiver’s objective was to acclimate the executive staff of the acquired companies to the culture and values of CIR. SageRiver conducted an internal cultural assessment with the staff of CIR and its new acquisitions. A set of cultural commonalities and distinctions among the companies emerged. We were able to bridge the cultural divide with awareness, engagement, change management and communications.
