VOLUNTEERING IN OUR COMMUNITY

At SageRiver Consulting, we envision a world in which organizations and communities explore, pursue and realize transformation. This vision inspires us as we engage with our clients—and as we volunteer in our community to create positive change for women and children.

Our founder, Susan Heinzeroth, has served on numerous nonprofit boards and traveled on service-focused trips. She is currently a board member for The Blue Bench (formerly known as the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program), and she previously served as a board member for the YMCA Central Branch and Denver CASA and as co-chair of Mayor Michael B. Hancock’s Transition Committee. She has also volunteered as a girls’ soccer coach and as a Junior Achievement advisor.

Serving Women & Children

Child Advocates: Denver CASA

Child Advocates – Denver CASA recruits, trains and supports volunteers to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Denver Juvenile Courts. Our volunteers work tirelessly to help children in foster care.

Kolkata City Mission

Kolkata City Mission (KCM) focuses on the spiritual, physical, economic and social needs of those in poverty. KCM takes a holistic approach to improve the lives of those most in need in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Rohan: Our Boy Rising

SageRiver sponsors a child, Rohan, who lives in a slum outside Kolkata, India.  SageRiver’s sponsorship funds his education and provides basic resources enabling Rohan to reach for his dreams! Read Rohan’s letter.

The Blue Bench

At The Blue Bench (formerly RAAP), our mission is to eliminate sexual assault and diminish the impact it has on individuals, their loved ones and our community through comprehensive issue advocacy, prevention and care.
