Custom Facilitation and Strategic Planning

Challenge

ELEMENT, a public health program supporting gay men's health and HIV prevention, was interested in developing a strategic plan to move them from the startup to growth phase in the organization's life-cycle.

Project

SageRiver developed and conducted a strategy survey with ELEMENT's key internal and external stakeholders to clarify organizational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. We reviewed the results of the survey with the program's executive director and subsequently crafted and facilitated a retreat to engage staff members in thinking strategically about the next phase of the program.

Results

SageRiver assimilated and encapsulated the retreat participants' work into an actionable strategic plan that mobilized the program to achieve its growth goals.
