Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management

Challenge

Denver Water selected SageRiver Consulting to facilitate key stakeholders through the process of identifying a new compensation system.

Project

Given the highly charged nature of employee compensation, SageRiver partnered with leadership to determine the project goals and approach. We worked diligently to re-engage and realign concerned stakeholders by facilitating cross-functional workgroups representing Denver Water's 1,100 employees. We communicated regularly with the project steering committee executives and team members. Our workgroup sessions focused on key aspects of change management, while identifying potential compensation systems, evaluating alternatives and selecting options to recommend to the Board of Water Commissioners.

Results

Representatives from the cross-functional workgroup presented the findings, conclusions and recommendations of the compensation system change process to the Board of Water Commissioners.
