Challenge
IHS sought to improve customer value and enrich jobs by reducing cycle time. The corporation retained SageRiver Consulting to partner on this process improvement and change management initiative.
Project
SageRiver collaborated with manufacturing's senior leadership team to design and conduct process redesign for an information management production line.
Results
When implemented, the new process resulted in a 60 percent improvement in cycle time and $600,000 annual cost savings, while also improving customer value via quicker response times and lower prices. SageRiver took care to transfer knowledge along the way, enabling the organization to continue process improvement and change management efforts.
