Challenge

Xcel Energy sought to build cohesion and commitment to a common goal among the members of its Market Management team.

Project

SageRiver designed and delivered a custom team-building retreat for the Market Management team. The retreat incorporated experiential exercises to illuminate the concepts of shared purpose, communicating and developing a shared language, valuing differences and owning outcomes as a team, rather than competing as individuals.

Results

Following the retreat, participants reported that they were a stronger, more aware and effective team.
