Team Building and Culture Assessment
Challenge
Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Simpson Housing is a fully integrated real estate firm providing services in commercial and multifamily property management, development and construction. The company sought to improve organizational performance by increasing cross-functional collaboration.
Project
SageRiver investigated the corporate culture via key stakeholder interviews and team assessments. Based on those findings, SageRiver determined that a primary goal would be to shift the focus from competition to collaboration. To achieve that end, SageRiver customized and delivered a two-day retreat incorporating opportunities for staff to uniquely experience positive team dynamics through fun, adventurous activities.
Results
Following the retreat, participants indicated a strong desire to work across silos and to see the others' viewpoints. Retreat evaluations indicated high marks for meeting their team-building objectives.
